Classic Christmas cards.

We've survived, almost, 2015 and the shenanigans of our idiots in Washington and countless state capitols throughout America.

Let us never forget, nor relinquish, that which keeps us free.

So please enjoy the video Christmas cards.

Merry Christmas.

And a classic greeting--

Jerry Jones is to the Dallas Cowboys what Barack Obama is to America.

Ole Miss did the right thing. I doubt the NFL will.

"Nkemdiche was charged with marijuana possession last week after Atlanta police found seven rolled marijuana cigarettes in a hotel room tied to Nkemdiche. He fell 15 feet twice and suffered mild injuries after breaking a window in a room at the Grand Hyatt in Atlanta, according to a police report.

Nkemdiche is expected to be a top-10 pick in the NFL draft."

The reasons are endless as to why I have as much use for the NFL as I do career politicians. I'm sure Jerry Jones is salivating over the possibility of bringing another thug to America's Shame. He needs a quarterback but given Jerry's demented fetish with thugs and felons, I don't see how he can possibly turn down this opportunity to further disgrace his team, the town and the league.

Jerry Jones is to the Dallas Cowboys what Barack Obama is to America.

Suggestion to employers regarding college protests.

Suggestion to employers looking at resumés from the upcoming December grads or classes of 2016:

I would strongly consider avoiding any recruitment or consideration of graduates from the universities we've recently seen in the news for their manufactured outrage and "demands" of everything be free and that they be paid more for doing less.

Even though the graduate you consider might not have been active in such a movement, you have to ask yourself: "Did they support or believe in it?" If they did not, then what did they do to try and negate the nonsense or did they petition and stand behind the faculty/leadership who was wrongly targeted and forced to resign?

As an employer, you want people of POSITIVE action. People who will back you, your brand, your operations, your objectives and your company's mission.

The last thing a small or mid-sized business needs is a recent new hire who comes in and after a while decides that he/she is the victim of something you or your business has been doing for years--and then stages legal actions against you, protests, and worse, recruiting other employees to stand against you.

There are plenty of campuses in America that are not entertaining this foolishness and who are producing outstanding prospects for the working world. I'm a proud graduate and staunch supporter of one such institution and you can check my Friends list here for people who are faculty at other such institutions. Those are the places I would carefully consider when it comes to
reviewing resumes.

What today's young people need to consider is that sometimes you are judged just as harshly by your non-actions as you are your direct actions. Failing to stand up for what is right is even more egregious than bearing false witness.

What Discount Tire and Barack Obama have in common.

Our family has been loyal customers of Discount Tires for several decades. I took a break from buying tires at DT during my Kansas City ad agency years in which we had Tire America and National Tire Warehouse as clients, as well as Western Auto and Sears Automotive.  I also worked on the campaign that merged Tire America and National Tire Warehouse into NTB--National Tire & Battery.

I know how do-it-for-me shops operate and I know how tire shops operate.

Discount Tire no longer operates like a tire shop. It now operates like a government co-op healthcare plan. You are promised one thing, you pay for it, then when you need it, it's explained to you that the co-op changed and now, here are the NEW rules.

You can go all the way to the top and get zilch for satisfaction. After all, Obama is the top asshat in the circus that is national healthcare.

For the same nonsense in dealing with Discount Tire, you can go all the way to to the top, which is corporate headquarters in Scottsdale, Arizona, and get exactly the same satisfaction and change you would when dealing with Obama.

Zilch.

And then there is the quality of service. . .

More zilch.

For the record, we buy Michelin tires for our vehicles. 80,000 mile Michelins. Lots and lots of Michelins. We'll scrimp on some things, but for the automobiles, we do not scrimp on tires and brakes. Ever. And for decades, we've been buying Michelin tires from Discount Tires. With the purchase comes lifetime rotation and balancing. And a warranty, of which we've never needed.

Until today.

Several days ago, my wife took her Avalon in for the annual tire rotation and balancing. We'd been experiencing a slow leak on the driver's side front tire. Not too bad, but once every five to six days, we needed to put several pounds of air in.

Both Toyota and Michelin's corporate offices recommend 32 pounds PSI for the front tires (front-wheel drive car, plus carrying the load/weight of the engine), and 31 pounds PSI for the rear. That is what we keep the pressure at. I have a rather large air compressor in my workshop and have run an air line into our garage, complete with a 50' hose reel and an air chuck so as to make it easier to keep all our tires properly inflated.

Wife comes home with freshly rotated tires. With radials, you rotate front to back and never side to side. That was with the old bias-ply tires. Radials--front to back, back to front, on the same side of the car.

The next morning, we woke up to a completely flat tire on the front PASSENGER side. The slow leak tire was on the DRIVER'S side, ostensibly now at the rear if it had been rotated properly.

I jack the car up and inflate the tire, then get to looking at the rear passenger side tire. It looked almost flat as well. Tire gauge showed it to have 14 pounds PSI. 14 pounds! Less than half of what is called for. For the record, it had 32 PSI when it went to Discount Tire. So why did they deflate it? I suspect they also deflated the front passenger side tire as well.

The driver's side tires. . . front had 44 pounds PSI and the rear had 48 pounds PSI. Again, they had 32 PSI and 31 PSI when my wife took the car in for rotation. A quick call to the Discount Tire yielded no answer.

So I fired off one helluva complaint to the Regional Office in Dallas. One week later, crickets.

Today, the same tire (front passenger) went flat again. I changed it, put on the spare and my wife headed to Discount Tire to ask some tough questions. They told her that we had put Fix-A-Flat in the tire and that it had hardened all over the inside of the tire, wheel and rim and could not form a good seal.

For the record, in all of my almost 55 years of existence on this planet, I have never used a single can of Fix-A-Flat. Ever.  I have used the green slime stuff on riding lawnmower and garden tractor tires as well as one of the tires on my big Troy-Bilt Horse Tiller. It works pretty well, by the way, but it doesn't leave this hardened gunk the way Discount Tire claims was on the wheel of the ruined tire.

Secondly, when the tire first went flat, I found a bunch of gray grease had oozed out. It was not hardened whatsoever and better yet, it hadn't even been in there long enough to begin collecting any rubber residue from the inside of the tire nor on the rim long enough to even collect road grime. Only place this stuff could've come from was Discount Tire.

My wife flat out told the DT guy that we didn't use Fix-A-Flat on the quality and grade of tires we buy--if they can't be repaired by the tire shop, we replace them with new ones, two at a time and that our by-God service records of almost three decades will prove it over and over.

So she ends up getting two new Michelin tires installed for the pro-rata warranty price. But since this problem originated over a simple rotation and balance on a FRONT-WHEEL DRIVE car, the geniuses at Discount Tire install the new tires on the REAR and rotate the old tires back up to the front--where they were just several days ago!

So much for getting your tires rotated.

And. . . hold on to your hats, when we checked the tire pressure on all four tires? Well over-inflated again.

Yet the more you try to talk to these "sales reps" and what passes for management at Discount Tire, the more they simply nod or smirk or smile or sneer and not a damn thing gets done. When you offer to call Corporate, they smile even bigger--they smile because they know the asshats in Scottsdale aren't going to do a damn thing.

Don't believe me. Check out the Consumer Affairs complains. People from all over the United States are telling basically the same stories about non-rotated tires, over-inflated or under-inflated and other instances dealing with outright dishonesty that appears suspiciously to be corporate directive driven.

In a plethora of different online consumer reporting services, the complaints about Discount Tire share some frightening and dangerous similarities:

1. Over/under-inflating tires. The end-all, be-all for tires is inflation. How can a TIRE COMPANY screw that up in so many instances in so many different locales? Most consumers pay little to no attention to tire pressure, so by over/under-inflating tires, exaggerated premature wear occurs and DT has the opportunity to sell more tires to prematurely returning customers.

However, it's also dangerous as hell.

2. Not rotating tires when they say they do. Pretty self-explanatory.

3. Moving tires eligible for redemption of warranty (read: having to replace the tire) because of road hazard causes to the opposite side of the car and claiming that the "affected tire" has nothing wrong with it. That qualifies as outright fraud.

4. While not illegal whatsoever, Discount Tire's "appointment process" is as useless as Obama's ACA enrollment websites were upon launching. Just as with the contempt and disregard POTUS shows the citizenry, likewise Discount Tires shows the same contempt to its customers.

So to Obama and the Obamacare elected officials: We can vote your ass out of office, and we've began doing just that.

To Discount Tire, we consumers have a vote and it's with our pockeboots and likewise, we can vote your ass right out of business.

Our family is doing both.

The "Screw That" movement--It's what built this country.

America's brain, Albert Einstein, once declared that the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over but expecting different results.

To that end, America has been certifiably insane for several decades, but with no viable way to escape the asylum.

Finally we have a way out of the nuthouse.

I'm talking about the way we approach, view and elect a president.

I'm a conservative--not a Republican. Paraphrasing the late great Ronald Reagan, I didn't leave the Republican party, it left me. Reagan, of course, said this about the Democrat party. A few years later, Texas senator and leading hypocrite Phil Gramm said the same thing when he abandoned the party that would've sent him into political unemployment and pitched his pirate boat into the fertile waters of the GOP.

Today's GOP is known as the RINO Establishment. And it's getting a very bloody nose thanks to the most unlikely of people, namely Donald Trump. Right there in Trump's footsteps are Ben Carson, Carly Fiorina and Ted Cruz.

They're all running for President of the United States--and they're doing it on the GOP's ticket. Their poll numbers are astounding.

One would think, given the ass-whipping the Republicans have taken on the world's biggest political stage--that of the race to be POTUS--that the GOP would be thrilled to have not one, but four candidates who have set the political water cooler talk on fire and who fill arenas and stadiums to capacity fifteen months ahead of the November 2016 election.

That is decidedly not the case. The RINO Establishment, led by the Republican Party's answer to the Kennedys, the Bush family, along with the mouthpiece of the Establishment, Fox News, at first laughed off the antics of Donald Trump and the field. But when the poll numbers not only stayed steady, but began growing for Trump, Fox and royalty had to do something. So they did what all Establishment cartels do and attacked.

Normally when a politician is attacked by an opponent or the press, they come back with a very polite and politically correct statement that never really addresses the facts and only serves to take up ink and space on the newsprint page.

Not Trump. The industry leader said "Screw that," and answered each attack with a scathing, no-holds bare knuckles blithering one-two-three punch right back at his attacker.

The Establishment was horrified. The usual modus operandi in such previously rare occurrences was to have Cartel leadership whisper a few quiet words to the offending rebel and hint that campaign funding would dry up if such independent and truthful counter-attacks were to occur.

Once again, Trump said, "Screw that and screw you." He's self funding and not beholden to the GOP Cartel.

Most notable was when Fox News fraud Megyn Kelly, who upon hitching her star to Murdoch's network has presented herself as the Mother Theresa of virtuosity and pureness (oops, except for that little erotica interview she enjoyed a bit too much with Howard Stern) decided to attack Trump in front of a huge national audience over something he said referring to Rosie O'Donnell--but Kelly, in her role as head eye candy for Roger Ailes, set herself up for the journalistic equivalent of a Joe Frazier/Mohammed Ali flight. She scored a quick blow that Trump quickly parried and then after the debate on Twitter, Trump knocked her out for the count.

Kelly's credibility still hasn't recovered. When she publicly challenges Ted Cruz or Ben Carson these days, the thinking public's reaction is "Screw that, I'm gonna check the facts." More often than not, Kelly and Fox News comes up short.

They come up short because they have an agenda and that is to protect and foist upon the public another lame candidate such as they did with McCain in 2008 and Romney in 2012.

But this time, conservative and independent America is saying , "Screw that."

It's about bloody time.

The front runners in the GOP race right now are all decidedly non-politicians. One could argue that Cruz is a politician, however he is less than halfway through his first time of ever having held an elected political office and he is unabashedly anti-GOP Cartel, which has caused the Republican's royal family, the Bush bunch, to go after him. Recently, George W went after Cruz while fundraising for his little brother, Jeb, at an event in which they had to lower the tickets to attend to just $250 a piece in order to get even a hundred people in to fill the room.

$250 to get in an meet a former president of the United States who is fundraising and speaking to the public? Typical price for something like this is a minimum of a thousand bucks per person and they can go as high as $25,000 per plate/person. Sounds like another "Screw that" by the conservatives and independents who see the Bush bunch for what they are.

Trump is on fire and getting stronger because he represents and voices the "Screw that" in so much of middle-America that is frustrated with how things have gone for the past two decades. Trump is spending a lot of time in flyover country and packing in the arenas and concert halls and venues everywhere he goes. Ben Carson and Carly Fiorini have become household names. Ted Cruz has become the anti-Christ to the GOP Cartel but for the masses of true conservatives and independents, he's more like Paul who never wavered in his faith or mission and for which he paid dearly. Cruz has been vilified more than any other GOP candidate in recent history, led by Texas' own Judas Iscariot, aka Senator John Cornyn. Yet Cruz endures because real Americans see power-weasels like Judas Cornyn and say, "Screw that."

Long time ago, the British throne kept demanding more and more from the colonies, to the point that it became insufferable. Our Founding Fathers said, "Screw that. We're changing things." And against all odds, they did.

Today, the Republican Establishment keeps demanding more and more from their constituents for no other purpose other than to further enrich and empower themselves.

We say, "Screw that."

The Bush cartel gets busted again.

For the record, I am glad beyond any words I could fit on this page that George W was in the Oval Office on (and after) September 11, 2001.

Had the idiot Al Gore been in charge, you'd in all likelihood be reading this in Farsi or Arabic. Gore has the spine of a centipede.

But with that said, the only area where I looked at George W or his dad as being good presidents was in their military efforts. Domestically, they were abysmal failures. Sr. Bush handed us the Clintons, which are like grub stains in underwear--you can bleach and soak and wash, but that stain will always hang around.

George W handed us Obama, which IS and will forever be a permanent grub stain on the underwear of America.

Now another Bush is wanting center stage but Americans won't be fooled a third time.

A Jeb Bush staffer has been outed as being a plant by CNN (gee, what a surprise) in the audience of the last debate.

This is yet one more example of how the Bush cartel has sold their soul to the Karl Rove RINO establishment--the wonderful clan who is now pushing Paul "Flip Flop" Ryan on us as Speaker, but only after Kevin McCarthy was outed for being the (known) weasel he is.

For the record, I like Ted Cruz. I'm proud to have supported him in his bid for U.S. Senator. But even during that race, I watched the Bush family work behind the scenes to push their lapdog, David Dewhurst on us. The way Dewhurst was crushed in the primary should tell the rest of America what we think of the Bush family so far as politics are concerned.

Now the family and their RINO establishment supporters are trying to do the same thing with favored son Jeb while working behind the scenes attacking other candidates that are striking chords with the populace on both sides of the aisles. At the same time, the cartel continues to attempt to maneuver laughable candidates like Christie and Kasich and Rubio into more favorable positions in order to siphon votes/support away from Trump, Carson, Cruz and Fiorini--the true political outsiders.

Sorry Rove, Bush family and supporters--your playbook has been exposed and you've fooled us on a national level twice before. Take a cue from the Cruz election for the Senate and how Texans saw right through you.

Because now it seems America is seeing right through you.

Good.

Select-fire penises coming to Austin.

I love it when I can get two puns for the price of one. . .

It seems the longhorned sheep of the University of Texas/Austin forty-acre flock are afraid of guns. The reasons they give are antithetical to any sensibility of logic and critical thinking they should be learning at the Berkeley, Texas campus.

So it seems some girl that is a "performance violin major," (now there's a hot degree that today's downtrodden economy has been begging for, eh?) is starting a protest movement for female students to carry working dildos, openly, as a protest to concealed carry on the forty-acre sheep pasture of higher, if not questionable, education.

And to think I've been wasting all this time teaching our girls how to shoot, situational awareness, how to conceal, etc etc, when all they REALLY needed was to be packing a brightly colored sex toy in plain sight to scare off bad people. After all, this is "the" university of Texas where all graduates are entitled to six-figure beginning salaries, liberal utopian working conditions and where the real world stops at the campus boundaries.

To my girls, I do apologize for trying to teach you and prepare you for real world possibilities.

Now I'm off to write a letter to the Joint Chiefs of Staff proposing that we start a "Dildos For The Troops" fundraiser to immediately begin issuing these battery-operated, full-auto penises of peace to our troops serving in the MIddle East.

But one question--what are the males at university of Texas going to carry to show solidarity?

Eight-year-old terrorist causes school lockdown in San Francisco.

Yes, you read it right.

It seems that in the People's Republic of Kalifornia, San Fransicastahn, an eight-year-old headcase runs around screaming at other students as well as teachers. He is reported to have punched a couple of students in the belly and to have thrown rocks.

So far there has been no body count, but given this is the bay area of Kalifornia, we know that it is only a matter of days, maybe even hours, before the bodies of innocent children, hopeful teachers and aspirations-creating administrators begin stacking up like firewood in the Siberian forest before an Arctic blizzard.

In a quest to delay the inevitable body count and carnage that is imminent from this eight-year-old terror, school officials proudly admit to having had the school on lockdown for everyone's safety and ostensibly to keep San Franciscastahn from being leveled.

Meanwhile, in the rest of the country parents, grandparents and ordinary Americans everywhere are asking the obvious question: Why hasn't the little brat been removed from school and given back to his breeders (parents)?

I'm guessing this is because it's a public school, and not just any public school but one located in the bay area of the People's Republic of Kalifornia where they have perfected the art of becoming a professional victim along with getting the rest of the nation to pay for it.

Chalk this up as yet another reason I'm such a staunch supporter of school vouchers.

Mr. Obama, you are a coward.

Mr. Obama,

First off, I'm not addressing you as "Mr. President" because to do so would infer that you are some sort of a leader. You are not. In fact, you are quite the opposite.

The blood of the victims in today's shooting in Oregon is on your hands, not mine. From the outset of your occupation of the White House, your agenda has been to divide, cast aspersions, deflect and blame. However, you've done this from a distance, further exemplifying the coward that you are.

You see, Mr. Obama, you have sided and empathized with every attack on white middle-class Christians that has occurred in this nation. You do so by blaming an inanimate object or a random video on YouTube or, my favorite, "intolerance."

You're a joke, Mr. Obama. A macabre, pathetic one, but a joke nonetheless.

I was no fan of Bill Clinton. I served under Jimmy Carter, another complete waste product of a White House occupant. I also served under Ronald Reagan, a giant of a man. I was born into the Kennedy presidency and grew up in the LBJ atrocities. I saw Nixon lie and never thought we'd ever have such a weasel mismanaging America again.

Then you came along.

Without doubt, you are the most effeminate, un-manly occupant to ever take up residence at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue. You bow to everyone including Saudi royalty and Chinese presidents while giving an iPod containing your speeches as a no-name "voting present" senator to the Queen of England. You have Marines hold an umbrella over your head during a light drizzle while you gave a speech.

You're no leader. You're a coward.

Leaders lead from the front. Cowards, like you, organize and agitate and then stay at the back of the crowd letting others do the actual fighting. In my crowd of veterans and stand-up Texans, we call people like you "chickenshits." Ask anyone with an agricultural background the significance of why being labeled as "chickenshit" is so derogatory.

Your lack of leadership and instead calculated divisiveness is responsible for the violent attacks on middle-class Americans as well as Christians throughout the world. You can blame my guns all you want, but you and I both know that guns are not the problem.

The problem is that when Eric Holder, your handpicked slum-chum, gave carte blanche to the New Black Panthers to physically intimidate voters, such as they did in Philadelphia, every pissant in America that has an axe to grind just became empowered.

But that is what community organizers do--they organize losers into crowds, then agitate them into action. And all the while, you hide behind your Secret Service body guards.

You lend your voice and office to Michael Brown's family before you knew any facts. Even your own handpicked AG couldn't find an instance of Brown's rights being violated, yet you said nothing and let a good man, Officer Wilson, perish career-wise. That's chickenshit.

One of your most enthusiastic supporters ambushed and murdered two fellow workers in Virginia and you once again blamed guns rather than the maniac who ate, lived, slept and breathed your manifesto. That's chickenshit.

You've continuously attacked and maligned the over 80 million Americans who freely exercise their Second Amendment rights. You swore an Oath to defend those rights, Mr. Obama, yet you divide America and give carte blanche for the nutcases you agitate to freely attack us and then have the audacity to argue that more gun laws would've prevented what happened today in Oregon? That's chickenshit, Mr. Obama.

Be advised, Mr. Obama, we will not relinquish our rights. Not one of them. And we will not tolerate such attacks on our innocent citizens. In Texas, CHL is legal on college campuses. In Texas, we're arming our school teachers and administrators. In Texas, we refuse to be willing victims set up by a divisive, agitating rabble-rouser like yourself.

Our neighbors to the north in Oklahoma aren't too crazy about you as well. If you recall, you did not carry one single, solitary county during your last election. The good people of Oklahoma aren't too keen on chickenshits like yourself, either.

There will be more violence in America, more mass-shootings and attempted mass-shootings. You've done well setting the stage, Mr. Obama, for the violence against Christians and middle-class Americans and law enforcement that we are seeing with increasing frequency. The successful attacks will be in gun-free zones such as we saw today and you'll be right there to blame the gun rather than the murderer. But in those areas where we're not quite so willing to be the victim, there will be a different outcome.

In closing, Mr. Obama, you can blame and whine and pout and threaten all you want because here are the facts, and they are simple:

1. Gun-free zones are simply like bringing the pigeons to the cat.

2. A significant majority of us will never, ever give up our guns.

3. You are the poster child of American history as to why our Founding Fathers wrote the Second Amendment.

Fourteen years of (expletive deleted) crickets.

Just as with when Kennedy was assassinated or when Armstrong walked on the moon, those of us who were around will remember where we were and what we were doing.

We'll also remember the deafening silence from the hundreds of millions of practicing Muslims over the cowardly attack.

Yes, there were a few lone voices from within the nation of islam (no typo in not capitalizing the religious name), but as we say around here, "They were like a fart in a Texas tornado."

We've had myriad attacks around the world by these goat-molesters in the years since.

To prove that half of Americans are insane, half of America elected one of these radical muslims to the Oval Office. Attacks on American soil have picked up--the Boston Marathon, the Garland (Texas) attack, et al.

And now the chief goat and child molesters, Al Qaeda, is spewing diarrhea from the mouth about doing more attacks.

We hear it all the time these days.

What we're still not hearing is widespread condemnation from the so-called peaceful purveyors of islam about the attacks on innocent lives from the rabid sect of their screwed up religion.

When the freakshow known as Westboro Baptist spews forth, Christians are quick to distance themselves. . . and what's more, show up to counter the vitriol spewed by these two-legged human sewage dwellers.

But today marks fourteen years since our World Trade Center towers were felled and the Pentagon attacked and Flight 93 crashed into the Pennsylvania countryside.

And still, no organized effort or voice by the alleged peaceful muslims in protest. If there are truly hundreds of millions of peaceful muslims and only a "minority" of the rabid ones, wouldn't you think the majority would put a stop to this? Or at least condemn it worldwide?

Peaceful my ass.

For those who wish to harm our police

We have a war going on here in America. On one side are thugs, criminals and societal sewage. They are armed, vicious, without conscience and exhibit a pack mentality.

On the other side are the police.

Some would say that the job of the police is to protect decent, law-abiding society from the lawless. Those who believe that are wrong. The job of law enforcement is primarily to investigate, arrest and hand over suspected and/or known criminals to our justice system where they are then tried and either acquitted or convicted for their misdeeds, then sentenced appropriately within the parameters and limits of the law.

Sadly, we're seeing little of any of that happening.

The police are still investigating and arresting, but our justice system is being overly selectively and short-sighted in how career criminals are being dealt with. The whole thing is rotting--from the head.

When President Obama visits a federal prison and tells convicted drug dealers, peddlers of poison to our kids and fellow citizens, that he thinks the law is overly harsh on those who knew what they were doing was wrong, a message is sent to every criminal in America.

When a three-hundred pound thug can strong-arm rob a convenience store, then fight a police officer and wrestle him for his gun and get fatally shot in the process and the president urges the looters and rioters to essentially continue standing up for what they believe in. . . exactly what are we to expect will happen? When this same idiot of a president calls police "stupid" because they arrested an Ivy League professor who by all appearances was breaking into a home (his own, by the way) and refused to show identification to the police, what attitude do we think street thugs and common ghetto criminals are going to have?

So here we have one group that advocates making war against the police. We've seen two weeks of almost daily killings of our nation's first line of defense. Some were ambushed, some were stalked and killed in their home. Others were confronted and killed.

Not a word from the offender-in-chief except to blame guns. Idiot.

So there is one group.

But there is another group almost as bad.

They are made up of guilty white people, mainly those living in crowded cities and suburbs. They are educated, often well above their capacity for common sense intelligence. They are soft on the inside with their wishy-washing feelings and equally soft on the outside. They make up the primary workforce in America and travel in great herds at predetermined times each day to and from their places of employment. Don't ask them about crime for they will give you a myriad of opinions depending upon who is around to hear them. Ask them in an environment filled with angry young black ghetto dwellers and this group will wail against the police and the unfair justice system. But let their home get broken into and they'll wail against the career criminals that commit such deeds.

They are apologists. In medical terms, an apologist is akin to being born without a spine. They need others of their own ilk to continuously prop them up and keep them upright.

And for the third group?

I give you the great essay from Lieutenant Colonel (ret) Dave Grossman. Where do you fall and where do you stand?

I'll stand with the police. I've been tough on them and more than once. I consider a peace officer to be a cut above, on a higher calling and as such, I hold them to higher standards. I do the same with our soldiers, sailors, airmen and Marines. I've served in both capacities, military and law enforcement, and I still revere the Oath. When a cop or a soldier does wrong, they do not get a pass. They, above all others, know right from wrong. Weed out the bad, praise and reward the good.

And if you wage war on our good police, be prepared to have war waged back at you--and with a fury and might that you've never seen and could never imagine. For such is the way of the third group found in LTC Grossman's brilliant essay.

On Sheep, Wolves, and Sheepdogs - Dave Grossman

By LTC (RET) Dave Grossman, author of "On Killing."

Honor never grows old, and honor rejoices the heart of age. It does so because honor is, finally, about defending those noble and worthy things that deserve defending, even if it comes at a high cost. In our time, that may mean social disapproval, public scorn, hardship, persecution, or as always, even death itself. The question remains: What is worth defending? What is worth dying for? What is worth living for? - William J. Bennett - in a lecture to the United States Naval Academy November 24, 1997

One Vietnam veteran, an old retired colonel, once said this to me:

"Most of the people in our society are sheep. They are kind, gentle, productive creatures who can only hurt one another by accident." This is true. Remember, the murder rate is six per 100,000 per year, and the aggravated assault rate is four per 1,000 per year. What this means is that the vast majority of Americans are not inclined to hurt one another. Some estimates say that two million Americans are victims of violent crimes every year, a tragic, staggering number, perhaps an all-time record rate of violent crime. But there are almost 300 million Americans, which means that the odds of being a victim of violent crime is considerably less than one in a hundred on any given year. Furthermore, since many violent crimes are committed by repeat offenders, the actual number of violent citizens is considerably less than two million.

Thus there is a paradox, and we must grasp both ends of the situation: We may well be in the most violent times in history, but violence is still remarkably rare. This is because most citizens are kind, decent people who are not capable of hurting each other, except by accident or under extreme provocation. They are sheep.

I mean nothing negative by calling them sheep. To me it is like the pretty, blue robin's egg. Inside it is soft and gooey but someday it will grow into something wonderful. But the egg cannot survive without its hard blue shell. Police officers, soldiers, and other warriors are like that shell, and someday the civilization they protect will grow into something wonderful.? For now, though, they need warriors to protect them from the predators.

"Then there are the wolves," the old war veteran said, "and the wolves feed on the sheep without mercy." Do you believe there are wolves out there who will feed on the flock without mercy? You better believe it. There are evil men in this world and they are capable of evil deeds. The moment you forget that or pretend it is not so, you become a sheep. There is no safety in denial.
"Then there are sheepdogs," he went on, "and I'm a sheepdog. I live to protect the flock and confront the wolf."

If you have no capacity for violence then you are a healthy productive citizen, a sheep. If you have a capacity for violence and no empathy for your fellow citizens, then you have defined an aggressive sociopath, a wolf. But what if you have a capacity for violence, and a deep love for your fellow citizens? What do you have then? A sheepdog, a warrior, someone who is walking the hero's path. Someone who can walk into the heart of darkness, into the universal human phobia, and walk out unscathed.

Let me expand on this old soldier's excellent model of the sheep, wolves, and sheepdogs. We know that the sheep live in denial, that is what makes them sheep. They do not want to believe that there is evil in the world. They can accept the fact that fires can happen, which is why they want fire extinguishers, fire sprinklers, fire alarms and fire exits throughout their kids' schools.

But many of them are outraged at the idea of putting an armed police officer in their kid's school. Our children are thousands of times more likely to be killed or seriously injured by school violence than fire, but the sheep's only response to the possibility of violence is denial. The idea of someone coming to kill or harm their child is just too hard, and so they chose the path of denial.

The sheep generally do not like the sheepdog. He looks a lot like the wolf. He has fangs and the capacity for violence. The difference, though, is that the sheepdog must not, can not and will not ever harm the sheep. Any sheep dog who intentionally harms the lowliest little lamb will be punished and removed. The world cannot work any other way, at least not in a representative democracy or a republic such as ours.

Still, the sheepdog disturbs the sheep. He is a constant reminder that there are wolves in the land. They would prefer that he didn't tell them where to go, or give them traffic tickets, or stand at the ready in our airports in camouflage fatigues holding an M-16. The sheep would much rather have the sheepdog cash in his fangs, spray paint himself white, and go, "Baa."

Until the wolf shows up. Then the entire flock tries desperately to hide behind one lonely sheepdog.
The students, the victims, at Columbine High School were big, tough high school students, and under ordinary circumstances they would not have had the time of day for a police officer. They were not bad kids; they just had nothing to say to a cop. When the school was under attack, however, and SWAT teams were clearing the rooms and hallways, the officers had to physically peel those clinging, sobbing kids off of them. This is how the little lambs feel about their sheepdog when the wolf is at the door.

Look at what happened after September 11, 2001 when the wolf pounded hard on the door.

Remember how America, more than ever before, felt differently about their law enforcement officers and military personnel? Remember how many times you heard the word hero?

Understand that there is nothing morally superior about being a sheepdog; it is just what you choose to be. Also understand that a sheepdog is a funny critter: He is always sniffing around out on the perimeter, checking the breeze, barking at things that go bump in the night, and yearning for a righteous battle. That is, the young sheepdogs yearn for a righteous battle. The old sheepdogs are a little older and wiser, but they move to the sound of the guns when needed right along with the young ones.

Here is how the sheep and the sheepdog think differently. The sheep pretend the wolf will never come, but the sheepdog lives for that day. After the attacks on September 11, 2001, most of the sheep, that is, most citizens in America said, "Thank God I wasn't on one of those planes." The sheepdogs, the warriors, said, "Dear God, I wish I could have been on one of those planes. Maybe I could have made a difference." When you are truly transformed into a warrior and have truly invested yourself into warriorhood, you want to be there. You want to be able to make a difference.

There is nothing morally superior about the sheepdog, the warrior, but he does have one real advantage. Only one. And that is that he is able to survive and thrive in an environment that destroys 98 percent of the population. There was research conducted a few years ago with individuals convicted of violent crimes. These cons were in prison for serious, predatory crimes of violence: assaults, murders and killing law enforcement officers. The vast majority said that they specifically targeted victims by body language: slumped walk, passive behavior and lack of awareness. They chose their victims like big cats do in Africa, when they select one out of the herd that is least able to protect itself.

Some people may be destined to be sheep and others might be genetically primed to be wolves or sheepdogs. But I believe that most people can choose which one they want to be, and I'm proud to say that more and more Americans are choosing to become sheepdogs.

Seven months after the attack on September 11, 2001, Todd Beamer was honored in his hometown of Cranbury, New Jersey. Todd, as you recall, was the man on Flight 93 over Pennsylvania who called on his cell phone to alert an operator from United Airlines about the hijacking. When he learned of the other three passenger planes that had been used as weapons, Todd dropped his phone and uttered the words, "Let's roll," which authorities believe was a signal to the other passengers to confront the terrorist hijackers. In one hour, a transformation occurred among the passengers - athletes, business people and parents. -- from sheep to sheepdogs and together they fought the wolves, ultimately saving an unknown number of lives on the ground.

There is no safety for honest men except by believing all possible evil of evil men. - Edmund Burke
Here is the point I like to emphasize, especially to the thousands of police officers and soldiers I speak to each year. In nature the sheep, real sheep, are born as sheep. Sheepdogs are born that way, and so are wolves. They didn't have a choice. But you are not a critter. As a human being, you can be whatever you want to be. It is a conscious, moral decision.

If you want to be a sheep, then you can be a sheep and that is okay, but you must understand the price you pay. When the wolf comes, you and your loved ones are going to die if there is not a sheepdog there to protect you. If you want to be a wolf, you can be one, but the sheepdogs are going to hunt you down and you will never have rest, safety, trust or love. But if you want to be a sheepdog and walk the warrior's path, then you must make a conscious and moral decision every day to dedicate, equip and prepare yourself to thrive in that toxic, corrosive moment when the wolf comes knocking at the door.

For example, many officers carry their weapons in church. They are well concealed in ankle holsters, shoulder holsters or inside-the-belt holsters tucked into the small of their backs. Anytime you go to some form of religious service, there is a very good chance that a police officer in your congregation is carrying. You will never know if there is such an individual in your place of worship, until the wolf appears to massacre you and your loved ones.

I was training a group of police officers in Texas, and during the break, one officer asked his friend if he carried his weapon in church. The other cop replied, "I will never be caught without my gun in church." I asked why he felt so strongly about this, and he told me about a cop he knew who was at a church massacre in Ft. Worth, Texas in 1999. In that incident, a mentally deranged individual came into the church and opened fire, gunning down fourteen people. He said that officer believed he could have saved every life that day if he had been carrying his gun. His own son was shot, and all he could do was throw himself on the boy's body and wait to die. That cop looked me in the eye and said, "Do you have any idea how hard it would be to live with yourself after that?"

Some individuals would be horrified if they knew this police officer was carrying a weapon in church. They might call him paranoid and would probably scorn him. Yet these same individuals would be enraged and would call for "heads to roll" if they found out that the airbags in their cars were defective, or that the fire extinguisher and fire sprinklers in their kids' school did not work. They can accept the fact that fires and traffic accidents can happen and that there must be safeguards against them.

Their only response to the wolf, though, is denial, and all too often their response to the sheepdog is scorn and disdain. But the sheepdog quietly asks himself, "Do you have and idea how hard it would be to live with yourself if your loved ones attacked and killed, and you had to stand there helplessly because you were unprepared for that day?"

It is denial that turns people into sheep. Sheep are psychologically destroyed by combat because their only defense is denial, which is counterproductive and destructive, resulting in fear, helplessness and horror when the wolf shows up.

Denial kills you twice. It kills you once, at your moment of truth when you are not physically prepared: you didn't bring your gun, you didn't train. Your only defense was wishful thinking. Hope is not a strategy. Denial kills you a second time because even if you do physically survive, you are psychologically shattered by your fear helplessness and horror at your moment of truth.

Gavin de Becker puts it like this in Fear Less, his superb post-9/11 book, which should be required reading for anyone trying to come to terms with our current world situation: "...denial can be seductive, but it has an insidious side effect. For all the peace of mind deniers think they get by saying it isn't so, the fall they take when faced with new violence is all the more unsettling."
Denial is a save-now-pay-later scheme, a contract written entirely in small print, for in the long run, the denying person knows the truth on some level.

And so the warrior must strive to confront denial in all aspects of his life, and prepare himself for the day when evil comes. If you are warrior who is legally authorized to carry a weapon and you step outside without that weapon, then you become a sheep, pretending that the bad man will not come today. No one can be "on" 24/7, for a lifetime. Everyone needs down time. But if you are authorized to carry a weapon, and you walk outside without it, just take a deep breath, and say this to yourself...
"Baa."

This business of being a sheep or a sheep dog is not a yes-no dichotomy. It is not an all-or-nothing, either-or choice. It is a matter of degrees, a continuum. On one end is an abject, head-in-the-sand-sheep and on the other end is the ultimate warrior. Few people exist completely on one end or the other. Most of us live somewhere in between. Since 9-11 almost everyone in America took a step up that continuum, away from denial. The sheep took a few steps toward accepting and appreciating their warriors, and the warriors started taking their job more seriously. The degree to which you move up that continuum, away from sheephood and denial, is the degree to which you and your loved ones will survive, physically and psychologically at your moment of truth.

Lest there still be any doubt

There is no more denying it.

The liberals/progressives who are hellbent on steering America right off the tracks and into the junkyard shared by Cuba, Venezuela, North Korea, the former Soviet Union and others have made their voices heard.

Ironically it was over the three-day weekend that celebrates workers and the opportunity for achievement.

In a poll this weekend, socialist Bernie Sanders of Vermont took the lead over Hillary Clinton as the Democratic voters top choice in New Hampshire and that he was closing quickly in Iowa.

Of course, New Hampshire sits next to Vermont and most Americans still can't find Iowa on a map or without aid of a GPS. Both states share the same schizophrenia north of the Mason-Dixon line that South Carolina does for Dixie--namely that being that they are more confused politically than a cross dresser at a K-Mart blue light sale in the clothing department.

But the significant point here is that for years the Democrats have been denying their socialist goals and agenda for decades.

Until now.

Granted, the Hildabeast is no peach of a candidate and quite frankly, I've never thought she was electable as president. The only reason she won in New York as a senator was because of the Clinton political machine--cross it and you might end up in the Hudson River looking up at Captain Sully bringing his French made Airbus in for an unscheduled landing.

Yet, unable to put forth a better candidate (the Repubs have put up something like a baker's dozen-plus), the Dems figure it's time to go ahead and come out of the closet.

Not that most of America will notice, mind you. We're still too busy wondering where Bruce Jenner is going to show up next.

But much like his secret, the Dems' secret is out in the public now.

And it's every bit as ugly.

Oh how I wish I had written this.

This is a masterpiece.

Forget Van Gogh and Picasso for paintings, forget Twain and Dickens for literature. Forget Woodward and Bernstein for journalism.

The above mentioned and their works often required translation and interpretation. The piece that follows below needs no such nonsense. It is factual. It is hard-hitting. It is impactful. It is powerful.

But above all, it is inarguable.

So with that introduction for the writing of Bob Lonsberry, please read, enjoy and share.

This is a message that must get out if this nation we once knew and loved is to survive.

TWO AMERICAS

The Democrats are right, there are two Americas.

The America that works, and the America that doesn’t. The America that contributes, and the America that doesn’t.

It’s not the haves and the have nots, it’s the dos and the don’ts. Some people do their duty as Americans, to obey the law and support themselves and contribute to society, and others don’t.

That’s the divide in America.

It’s not about income inequality, it’s about civic irresponsibility. It’s about a political party that preaches hatred, greed and victimization in order to win elective office. It’s about a political party that loves power more than it loves its country.

That’s not invective, that’s truth.

And it’s about time someone said it.

The politics of envy was on proud display last week as the president said he would pledge the rest of his term to fighting “income inequality.” He notes that some people make more than other people, that some people have higher incomes than others, and he says that’s not just.

It was the rationale of thievery.

The other guy has it, you want it, Obama will take it for you. Vote Democrat.

It is the electoral philosophy that gave us Detroit. It is the electoral philosophy that is destroying America. And it conceals a fundamental deviation from American values and common sense. It ends up not being a benefit to the people who support it, but a betrayal. The Democrats have not empowered their followers, they have enslaved them – in a culture of dependence and entitlement, of victimhood and anger instead of ability and hope.

The president’s premise – that you reduce income inequality by debasing the successful – seeks to ignore and cheat the law of choices and consequences. It seeks to deny the successful the consequences of their choices and spare the unsuccessful the consequences of their choices.
Because, by and large, the variability in society is a result of different choices leading to different consequences. Those who choose wisely and responsibly have a far greater likelihood of success, while those who choose foolishly and irresponsibly have a far greater likelihood of failure.

And success and failure can manifest themselves in personal and family income. You choose to drop out of high school or to skip college and you are apt to have a different outcome than someone who gets a diploma and pushes on with purposeful education. You have your children out of wedlock and life is apt to take one course, you have them in wedlock and life is apt to take another course.

Most often in life our destination is determined by the course we take. My doctor, for example, makes far more than I do. There is significant income inequality between us. Our lives have had an inequality of outcome. But, our lives also have had an inequality of effort. Whereas my doctor went to college and then gave the flower of his young adulthood to medical school and residency, I got a job in a restaurant. He made a choice, I made a choice. And our choices led us to different outcomes.

His outcome pays a lot better than mine.

Does that mean he cheated and Barack Obama needs to take away his wealth? No, it means we are both free men. And in a free society, free choices will lead to different outcomes.

It is not inequality Barack Obama will take away, it is freedom. The freedom to succeed, and the freedom to fail. And there is no true option for success if there is no true option for failure.
The pursuit of happiness means a whole lot less when you face the punitive hand of government if your pursuit brings you more happiness than the other guy.

Even if the other guy sat on his arse and did nothing.

Even if the other guy made a lifetime’s worth of asinine and shortsighted decisions.

Barack Obama and the Democrats preach equality of outcome as a right, while completely ignoring inequality of effort. The simple Law of the Harvest – as ye sow, so shall ye reap – is sometimes applied as, “The harder you work, the more you get.”

The progressive movement would turn that upside down.

Those who achieve are to be punished as enemies of society and those who fail are to be rewarded as wards of society. Entitlement has replaced effort as the key to upward mobility in American society.

Or at least it has if Barack Obama gets his way. He seeks a lowest common denominator society in which the government besieges the successful and productive and fosters equality through mediocrity.
He and his party speak of two Americas. And their grip on power is based on using the votes of one to sap the productivity of the other.

America is not divided by the differences in our outcomes, it is divided by the differences in our efforts. And by the false philosophy that says one man’s success comes about unavoidably as the result of another man’s victimization.

What the president offered was not a solution, but a separatism. He fomented division and strife, he pitted one set of Americans against another.

For his own political benefit.

That’s what progressives offer. Marxist class warfare wrapped up with a bow.

Two Americas, coming closer each day to proving the truth to Lincoln’s maxim that a house divided against itself cannot stand.

It's your mess, Obama, but we're having to clean it up.

So the usurper-in-chief, at yet another in his endless string of campaigning fundraisers, calls for Hollyweird to "mobilize against gun violence."

That's rich.

The number one purveyor of "gun violence" in the entire world is Hollywood via its zillions of silver screen and made-for-DVD films in which over the years a literal Niagra Falls of blood has cascaded. From B-minus horror slasher flicks to the rapt stupidity of endless Rambo sequels, Hollywood has done more to teach Americans new and creative ways to take life.

And now the coward-in-chief, who rode Hollywood money and support to the White House in 2008 and 2012, is asking Hollywood to mobilize against the very entity they continue to propagate today. Note that he didn't ask them to stop glorifying such gratuitous violence or to stop using firearms recklessly in their films, or even for them to rid themselves of their own armed security guards, bodyguards and personal firearms.

But aside from the White House squatter being a world-class hypocrite, he's also an absolute idiot.

Obama rode to power on the pigment of his skin. Period. He had no record in the Senate, other than voting "present" on those rare occasions he drug himself away from "community organizing" to grace Capitol Hill with his imminence. He never had a private sector job and his extremely questionable background and constitutional qualifications for the job have been well documented.

His half-blackness magically became all-blackness so far as the media and fawning liberals were concerned. And Obama wasted no time exploiting it. From the incident in Cambridge when he accused the (white) cops of acting stupidly against a (black) professor, and then invited everyone to the White House "for a beer," the usurper exposed his agenda.

Then came Trayvon Martin and the infamous "If I had a son, he'd look like Trayvon" position. Then Ferguson where he personally stoked the fires and added fuel to them and rallied the thugs onward. Then Baltimore and now Charleston.

Obama has single-handedly set race relations in this nation back to pre-WWII sub-levels. And now he thinks draconian gun-control will change everything.

As is his modus operandi, he blatantly and wantonly lies through his bleached teeth to set his agenda by claiming that "only in America do we have mass-shootings." Sixty-seconds spent on a Google search exposes the fallacy of this intentional lie.

And intentional it is. His remarks were prepared for him and approved by him. With the blood of the Charlie Hebdo victims having just barely dried, surely Mr. Obama couldn't have already forgotten about that the way he did Benghazi? Or could it be because Charlie Hebdo was the result of distant cousins of Obama--radical Muslims--he wants to ignore this, even in a country like France where legally obtaining and possessing and carrying a fully-automatic firearm is no easy task?

By now I'm sure most of you have seen the internet memes and bulleted call-outs of all the mass-shootings that have taken place around the world in just the past few years: Scotland, Germany, Norway. . . to name a few.

So asking Hollywood, who produces violence-filled movies and ships them all over the globe, to mobilize for gun control will stop what happened in Charleston?

I have a better idea. How about our race-baiting attention and media whores quit working overtime to undo fifty years of progress in race relations? Who wins when the races become divided? Do whites? Blacks? Hispanics? Martians or Venusians? Who gets the power, the money, the perks when the races divide?

Not you or me, that's for certain.

I'll close this by saying that Obama and Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson never have worked in the private sector or had a real job (you know, where you have to accomplish and build/produce something) in their entire life. But they live in nicer homes than what I have and wear more expensive clothes and eat at fancier, more expensive restaurants. Look how the heads of the Ku Klux Klown type groups live and what they drive. When is the last time you or I have been invited to the White House versus Al Sharpton?

There's money in hate. And with money comes power. More hate equals more money which results in more power.

But it only works if they can keep the hate going.

I refuse to participate.

The right to refuse service

Growing up in Texas during the 60's and 70's, back when America was largely free, I remembered seeing signs in businesses that read: "We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone for any reason."

But the government says you can't do that anymore.

This is the same government that does everything possible to impede the birth, development  and growth of an independent business. Ask anyone who has started up a small brick and mortar business in the past ten to twenty years how much "help" the government gave them versus the myriad of paperwork, "Mother may I," rules, regulations, ordinances, permits, hearings, unanswered phone calls/e-mails/inquiries and other such nebulous nuances of bureaucracy they had to endure.

Then, once open, comes the monthly filing of state sales taxes, quarterly filing of federal taxes, surprise inspections, visits and audits by any one of six-dozen different alphabet-soup government, state, county and municipal agencies (all of whom can close you down at the drop of a hat for any infraction, implied real or otherwise).

If you have employees other than your wife, children, cousins and family dog, you have the EEOC to deal with, Social Security Administration, Health & Human Services (gotta pay that Medicare/Medicaid tax)--not to mention state workman's compensation personnel and if you aren't in a right-to-work state, you might have the union showing up to discuss becoming a signatory.

And so if you've been able to endure all of that and still open your doors, wouldn't you think you would have the right to serve whoever you damn well please and refuse service to those you don't want in your business?

In the U.S., you could do that. In today's U.S.S.A. you cannot.

At issue is a Christian-owned bakery whose owners disagreed with the idea of a gay wedding ceremony and politely declined to bake a wedding cake for the couple. The couple sued. Similarly in another part of the country, a gay couple wanted to get married and asked a photographer to document their wedding. Again, the photographer declined on religious grounds. The gay couple sued.

Discrimination is the rallying cry of the professional victim.

Whatever happened to choice?

Liberals are vocal and screeching about choice when it involves killing unborn babies, but not so vocal when it comes the choice of deciding who a privately owned business will or will not choose to do business with.

For the record, I could pretty much care less what consenting adults do behind closed doors. I have no problem with gay couples adopting children. God knows Himself that heterosexual couples have created more dysfunctional and screwed up kids than homosexual couples have. I support anyone being able to name anyone else to their life insurance or health insurance policies, etc etc. What I do not support is in-your-face militants.

I'm pretty sure there were a number of different bakeries in the town where the gay couple was refused service by the bakery in question. Likewise, it's a safe bet there was more than one wedding photographer available for the gay couple who wanted their wedding photographed.

But rather than exercising their choice to choose another service provider, they chose to sue--and in doing so they upset the apple cart and further divided the gulf between heterosexuals and homosexuals, much like Obama and Holder have widened the gulf between the races.

In doing so, some pretty stunning ignorance has come to the limelight.

For one, I thought the gay community was pretty organized and had their own shopping and service-provider networks. That would mean they had their own cake-makers and picture-takers who, ostensibly, should have no problem baking a cake and taking pictures of the happy couple. So why wouldn't a gay couple go there first? I mean, all the time and money and energy spent creating a "support your own" kind of network would dictate using it, right?

But where the real question is emerging is in the Land Of Opportunity, wouldn't there be someone who would jump at the chance to fill a void? If there are all these gay couples wanting to get married but they're having to sue to get their cakes made and their pictures taken, wouldn't that mean that there is a dire shortage of bakers and picture-takers?

Shouldn't there be an army of entrepreneurs storming City Hall for permits to open bakeries and photography studios?

Why haven't we seen that happening? I think we all know why.

Bottom line is that when an American entrepreneur puts their money, their sweat, their backbone and their future on the line to open a business, the government has no damn business telling them that they have to leave their  morals, ethics and values at the curb. The business world is brutally Darwinistic and if a business gets the reputation of doing bad work or wantonly discriminating against everyone except for ice-cream white blue-eyed males of the human species, they simply are not going to prosper, and probably not going to stay open all that long.

And so what if they do? It's your money. Spend it where and with who you want.

Or. . . perhaps we need a law that dictates where you must do business. . . just to keep things fair. I think the following cartoon says it all.

I'll be waiting on the lawsuit to make the news.

So you want to spit on Chris Kyle's grave, do you?

The harder you reap, the more you sew. And that is not always a good thing.

Yesterday I get this entry on my Facebook timeline about some guy in Olathe, Kansas by the name of Micah Horner posting some really derogatory garbage about Chris Kyle, the famous Navy SEAL sniper who was murdered last February.

Being the curious sort that I am and having actually met Mr. Kyle shortly after he discharged from the Navy, I went to this loser's Facebook page and got a glimpse of the garbage he was posting.

What caught my eye wasn't necessarily the inflammatory things he was saying about Kyle, but rather that the idiot also had the fact that he was a business owner posted on that same FB page.

I think Bugs Bunny often referred to such nutsacks as "maroons."

Karma is a curious wench. Often times she works right along the old Biblical proverb of "so as you reap, so shall you sew." And in this case, the harvest for Mr. Micah Horner and his business, The Modern Maids, is bountiful.

But not exactly how you'd expect.

Veterans from all over have been posting derogatory reviews on every website they can find ranging from Google to Yahoo to Yelp and others deriding The Modern Maids and urging potential patrons to spend their hard-earned dollars elsewhere.

Johnson County, Kansas is extremely conservative. I know. We lived there for three wonderful years. Kansas also sends a disproportionate amount of young people into the military to serve their country and as such, does not look favorably upon those who would spit upon the nation's finest.

Here is the link to Yelp's review page for The Modern Maids. I'll warn you right now that you will laugh out loud at some of the reviews. Veterans, when angered. . . well, we can be a creative bunch.

Just as it is Micah Horner's right and freedom to deride and make derogatory remarks about Chris Kyle and other veterans, it is our right to make sure that his fertile field of business--Johnson County, Kansas--knows how this business owner feels about those who risk their lives to safeguard the freedoms we all enjoy.

So where's the money?

Back in August of last year, a story came out that saw some coverage for a brief moment, then faded.

There must've been a new episode of Dancing With The Stars coming on that week as the attention span of the general American public was at its typical "don't bother me with the facts, just please move away from my television, okay?" mentality that has us where we're at today.

In the story, no less than forty-seven inspectors general formally complained about being shut out of investigating/auditing the very agencies that we, the taxpayers--their bosses, mind you--pay them to make sure there is no financial hanky-panky going on.

Shut out.

Was this the DWTS episode where one of the duck hunters' kids was dancing? Maybe a more fair question would be: Can the general American public not tear their apathetic brain-dead butts away from the idiot tube long enough to see what is going on under their very noses in the cesspool that passes for our nation's capital?

Forty-seven different agencies representing billions of our hard-earned dollars are operating under this administration with exactly zero oversight. Zero. And we, the American public, can't seem to give a you-know-what.

Get away from my TV set, damnit!

I recently wrote a novel called False Gods in which the overriding theme was "follow the money" in finding out where the corruption lay in government and Wall Street/big business. Only, in the novel Americans finally began to wake up.

If the average American had to turn over their entire household income to a financial bill-paying service and was told every month that they need to earn more money because the bill-paying service doesn't have enough to pay the bills--even though an excess of money had been given to the bill-paying service--most Americans of even average intelligence would be livid. We'd be demanding to know where the hell our money went and what the hell did the bill-paying service do with it? If we didn't like the answers, we'd immediately fire the bill-paying service at the least and many of us would move to sue them and recover our money in court.

But when it comes to our government, we seem to not give a damn and instead reach for the television remote.

We're paying all this money into to Washington and we're being told it isn't enough. When a few people try to demand, per the law, to know where the public money is going and how it is being used they are locked out--illegally--by the public employee lawyers hired by these public employee agencies.

And we put up with it.

Now, I guess, the story is back and making the rounds on Facebook and Twitter and other social media sites.

We have a new Congress in session. I propose that we, the American People, raise bloody hell with our elected representatives on a weekly, if not a daily basis to let the IGs find out where our money is going. With today's internet and cell phone technology, it is easier than ever to contact our elected misfits and make their lives miserable by demanding that they uphold the oaths and promises they undertook when they asked us to hire them for another term in the cesspool.

You can find your elected wimp here. You can call the switchboard at: (202) 224-3121.

Light 'em up, folks.

When it comes to where to buy groceries and furniture and medicine and clothes, we have a choice. If we don't like the excesses that we see from any particular business or company, we have the choice to shop and spend our money elsewhere. We don't have that ability with our government which is exactly why we need to hold their feet to a magma-hot fire on a daily basis.

I can't take the embarrassment anymore.

What passes for leadership in the United States of America is pathetic.

I'm not just talking about the piece of subhuman sewage known as Barack Hussein Obama or the low/no-IQ assclown some call "Uncle Joe" or the eunuch that serves as Secretary of State or the race-baiting radical Attorney General.

I'm talking about damn near the entire Congress of the United States of America. I'm talking about the Pentagon. I'm talking about the Supreme Court. I'm talking about virtually every individual who resides and works inside the Beltway who gives our "leadership" a pass every single time they embarrass America and her citizens.

By now we all know what happened at the French rag Charlie Hebdo. I have no love lost for that POS publication. I find them vile, demeaning and basically oxygen thieves. The only good thing I can say for them is that they were--and remain--equal opportunity assholes when it comes to insulting people from all spectrums of humanity.

So the radical ragheads (are there any other kind?) send a goon squad in to shoot the place up and kill as many as they can. On the way out, we see where one of the terrorists shoots an unarmed cop point blank. We hear the world roar in outrage.

What we don't hear is the leadership from the U.S. saying much of anything. The stinking spineless journalists here in America are little more than overly made up blowdried facelifted fartblowers who urinate submissively at the first hint of being threatened with physical harm.

Fox News, the biggest fraud perpetuated on conservatives since John McCain, was even censoring the word "terrorist" from their news reports. Hell, after all these radical ragheads could storm Fox News Headquarters one day and the limpdicks at Fox don't want to be seen as aggravating an already "unfortunate situation." CNN and MSNBC and the lamestream networks. . . their responses were entirely predictable.

The leaders of the free world gather in Paris--all except the leaders from the U.S. because we have no leaders here. We have talkers. We have whiners. Our coward-in-chief wasn't about to go and be seen front and center railing against the likes of Islamic terrorists. I wonder effing why?

Uncle Joe is just flat too stupid to be seen in public these days. Besides, he's Obama's life insurance policy. John Kerry speaks the language but the French were in no mood to hear apologetic or appeasement ramblings from Lurch on a day that many in France equated to our own 9/11. And Eric Holder? He was freaking there already, but didn't show up. But then again, if he's a leader, then my ass is a magazine cover.

But where have our elected officials been? John Boehner could've grabbed a case of Kleenex and several fifths of bourbon and flown over to Paris. So could Mitch McConnell. For that matter, so could damned near any of our so-called leaders inside the Beltway.

But they didn't. And aside from a handful, none of them are even making any serious waves about the abject embarrassment America's no-show has caused us.

And yet, we still have half of the country cheering on this asshole of a president.

That continues to tell me all I need to know about the State of the Union. No need for me to waste the brain cells watching it live next month.

If only. . . only the ending to Tom Clancy's Debt of Honor could happen.

Sooner the better.
