What gun control will look like in 2013.

If we do not get the anti-Second Amendment people out of ALL facets of government, this will be how gun control works, beginning in 2013.

Given the resources of people like George Soros, the drug cartels and our own government, is there any doubt that this technology does not already exist?

If you are a gun owner but not a member of a pro-gun organization, you need to join one. Today.

Right now, roughly five percent of all gun owners are carrying the weight of the other ninety-five percent who are not members of anything. For those of you who aren't members, I'm glad you vote, I'm glad you call or e-mail your elected officials. Every gun-owner I've ever met claims to do this.

Fact is, there is strength in numbers and there are over seventy-million gun owners in America. If even a fourth of us were members of NRA or GOA or whatever, videos like this one would not exist.

But thanks to the majority of gun-owners apparently not giving a damn enough to join a pro-gun organization, not only do videos like this exist. . . they are indicative of what the future may very well hold for us.

Has this damned president not taught you anything? Has the ATF's "Fast and Furious" scams not taught you anything? Has all the talk about a UN treaty to abolish the Second Amendment not taught you anything? Do you still think because you don't own a "black gun" that the government will ignore you? Or because you only hunt with rifles, the government will leave you alone?

Get off your ass and join a pro-gun group. Today.

Perhaps you are unaware of the Supreme Court decision in Reid v. Covert?

In that case, the majority ruled, among other things, that if a provision of a U.S.-ratified treaty were to run counter to the U.S. Constitution, it could not be enforced.

The majority wrote that the Supreme Court had "repeatedly taken the position that an act of Congress, which must comply with the Constitution, is on a full parity with a treaty, and that, when a statute which is subsequent in time is inconsistent with a treaty, the statute to the extent of conflict renders the treaty null. It would be completely anomalous to say that a treaty need not comply with the Constitution when such an agreement can be overridden by a statute that must conform to that instrument.

It is simply not true that "once the US Government signs these international treaties, all US citizens will be subject to those gun laws created by foreign governments."

Rather, in the unlikely event that the president and two-thirds of the Senate agreed to a treaty that banned guns and required their confiscation from ordinary Americans, a longstanding Supreme Court precedent would make those provisions unenforceable within the United States."

Highly recommend JPFO and SAF. For those of you on the east coast I'd also highly recommend VCDL - THE grassroots (and VERY successful) state organization.
Most folks will just default to NRA, I quit them last year over their DISCLOSE Act deal with Shumer. I'm just now reconsidering rejoining over their partial sponsorship of a series of videos made by Brownells called "A Life of Duty"

Excellent advice as always Tex.

But:

I am Canadian, and I have seen what liberal clotpoles do when they start getting their way up close and personal.

The good news is this: the gubbermint will never be able to ban your guns. Our idiot liberals have been trying to do it for 30 years and all they did was end up with a two billion dollar white elephant called the 'Gun Registry'. Hell, those idiots can't balance a check book either.

Noncompliance is rampant, and other than a handful of liberal strongholds like Toronto and Montrea - the cops won't enforce this idiocy. The liberals responsible for this ass hattery are now in political limbo and are pretty much laughingstalks and nothing more.

Your democrats and their sycophants will be joining them soon.

Civil disobedience should be part and parcel of the pro-gun agenda. The people driving the antigun agenda will not be reasoned with and the only way to beat them is to defy them.

I guess you asswipes donn't realize Obama has done more to advance gun ownership rights than the last few Presidents. Hell, you can carry weapon in National Parks now! There is NO discussion of curtailing gun ownership rights. But you idiots will trot out any old lie to get morons to believe you and vote for the wingnuts who are out to destroy the middle class. Psst...that's YOU dipshit.

Hey AOA, what's your take on this? DOJ recently ruled that registered (legal)medical marijuana users can't own guns; oddly, the NRA has said nothing. http://tinyurl.com/6ccxugr
